The front porch of the Bonney Brier Residence parallels a compact garden and opens at both ends onto a lofty living area, with an exposed-rafter ceiling. Inside, the kitchen, living room, dining room, and library, all faced with painted wood siding, are organized as open, interconnected spaces, with a freestanding wall separating the library–entrance hall from the living and dining area. In its single-room width, this section of the house provides views of the front and back gardens beneath the sheltering overhang of the porches.
